Campus Safety Officer



Sam Salvato is a Campus Safety Officer for the North Central College Department of Campus Safety, which is part of the Student Affairs Division. Officer Salvato works on the midnight shift, which is during the hours of 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.  Officer Salvato has worked for Campus Safety since 2013. As part of his responsibilities, Officer Salvato is assigned to patrol North Central College property and buildings to proactively address any safety concerns. In 2015 Officer Salvato was named Campus Safety Officer of the Year. Additional responsibilities include: Oleoresin Capsicum (O.C spray) Instructor, Baton Instructor, Property Inventory Manager and member of the Bicycle Patrol Unit. 

The Department of Campus Safety employs 1 director, 2 assistant directors, a parking and transportation coordinator, full-time, on call and student campus safety officers, as well as approximately 20 student employees who serve in various roles on campus.  The Department is responsible for patrolling the campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
