Shimer Alumni Events

Last year we completed a successful year of Shimer Sundays and hope to add more regular gatherings in various locations around the country this year. We will be following the rotation suggested by the Chicago group of rotating readings at our Shimer Sundays in Philosophy, Humanities, Science and Sociology If you would like to organize a Shimer Sunday gathering in your area please contact Steve Zolno S’71 at stevezolno12@yahoo.com.

February 16- The San Francisco Bay Area group will be focusing on Washington's Farewell Address, in which he warned about the dangers of partisanship, and the Impeachment discussions in the US Constitution and the Federalist Papers. For more information contact Steve Zolno S’71.

February 23- The Chicago group will be meeting at the Shimer Campus in Naperville and be focusing on Wheelright’s The Presocratics. For more information contact Margie Sejbl S’87 at msejbl@yahoo.com.
