Residence Life

Thinking of living on campus? The fun people in the Office of Residence Life are active on Instagram for hall tours, housing options and campus living tips.  Expect a personal call this summer to connect with someone on staff, and a virtual floor meeting to connect with your new community. Check out the Friday live stream events with Hall Directors who will be playing video games, giving cooking tutorials and more, all while answering your most difficult questions!

Social Impact

Join us for Social Impact Live every Wednesday at 1pm on Zoom. It's a weekly show highlighting all of the opportunities that the Center for Social Impact offers students and the community. Hear from students and alumni about student groups, programs and classes focused on all forms of "changemaking" - activism, volunteering, social entrepreneurship, leadership, and more. Faith and Action

Join the Office of Faith and Action for the 12:5 Summer Series - brief, online worship services open to the campus community featuring music and a short reflection at 12:05pm June 9 and July 14 via GoToMeeting. Also, check out Focus, a student-led worship community, on the last Wednesday of each month at 9pm on Zoom: May 27June 24July 29. Read devotionals from staff on the Faith and Action Instagram, and from Focus students on the Focus Instagram.

New students, learn about the Premier Scholars summer bridge program at upcoming info sessions on Zoom:  June 16, 5-6pm and July 13, 12-1pm. Join the Virtual Dialogues on Zoom for “Navigating Campus as a Student of Color” on June 25, 4-5pm, and "College Life During/After COVID” on July 30, 12-1pm. REC Sports

Stay fit and meet new friends this summer through Campus Recreation.  Join the 1861 Challenge and log any kind of miles (walk, run, bike) as the College community collectively attempts to tread 1,861 miles in June and July (you could earn a T-shirt!).  Also, stay tuned to the REC Sports Instagram page for info about an upcoming Virtual 5K in July, and Intramural eSports for tournaments and challenges featuring a variety of games and multiple gaming systems.

Wellness Center

Are current events adding stress to your life? Join the Dyson Wellness Center for "Getting Grounded," a fun virtual pop-up series for current and incoming students to help get connected and stay well. Join via GoToMeeting every Thursday at Noon through June 18.  You can also learn about the medical and mental health services that the Wellness Center offers on their website, or follow them on Instagram.

If you're a first-generation college student*, check out our nationally-recognized Cardinal First program and this list of the 100+ faculty and staff at North Central who are also first-gen. Join us for a variety of upcoming virtual workshops and group check-ins throughout the summer; find all the details in the e-mails from cardinalfirst@noctrl.edu and on The Hub. (*defined as neither parent having completed a 4 year degree)

The Department of Campus Safety is here to ensure that your college experience is a safe one. Check out "Donuts with the Director," a bi-weekly touchpoint on Wednesday mornings where a member of the leadership team will takeover social media to answer all of your questions. You can also follow the weekly Facebook posts on #TipTuesday for information that will help you stay alert and safe at home and school.
