Additional option hosted by Shimer Great Books School:
- November 5 & January 21 - Montaigne Scholarship Competition
The Montaigne Scholarship is a scholarship for students applying to a major within the Shimer Great Books School. Participants write an essay based on their reading of a work by Michel de Montainge, the 16th century French writer who invented the essay form itself. Students that submit an essay will participate on a discussion following the November 5th and January 21st Visit Days.
