Dave Peterson is a teacher, scholar, artist who comes most recently from Colby College in Maine. While there he taught courses in directing, comedy, and theatre history. He also directed a production of The Servant of Two Masters.  Dave earned his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, where he taught courses in acting, script analysis, and Shakespeare. During his time at Pitt Dave directed and performed in a variety of shows, including the North American premier of This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing by Finegan Kruckemeyer.  Dave was also advisor to Pitt 24 hour theatre project.  Dave has shared his scholarly work at the American Society for Theatre Research, the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, the Mid America Theatre Conference, among others. Dave scholarly work focuses on late 20th and early 21st century theatrical clowning.
