One of the best ways to determine whether North Central College is the right fit for you is to visit. Whether you’re an admitted student looking to discuss questions surrounding your final decision, an applicant with questions about completing your application, or a prospective student just starting your college search, our counselors are ready to assist you and your family. We have limited in-person options and several virtual options.
Individual Visits
We're currently offering in-person individualized visits. This on-campus visit opportunity includes a 45-minute walking campus tour with a current student and a meeting with an Admission Counselor (30 minutes for incoming freshman and 1 hour for incoming transfers if you'd like a transcript evaluation). We're also currently offering in-person group spring break visits. Featuring a group session with an admission counselor and a personalized campus tour with a current student, this visit is ideal for current junior and sophomore high school students. Take a live virtual campus tour with a current student! Register now to join this session and connect directly with our students for an inside glimpse of campus life as North Central Cardinal. Parents are most welcome to join the tour with their student! Offered Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
We have weekday options for freshman and transfer students to join a group Virtual Information Session hosted by our counselors and a current student. Parents are most welcome to attend the online session with your student! Transfer sessions offered select Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Freshman sessions offered select Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

We're hosting a Virtual Visit Day just for Transfer Students! Receive a welcome from admission, hear from current students in a Transfer Student Panel, take a virtual campus tour and meet your transfer counselor. Our most popular visit option for high school students, this program offers admission and financial aid presentations, a campus tour with a current student, a student life fair, lunch on campus and more.
Get the essentials on transferring to North Central College. Learn about the transfer admission and financial aid timelines, transfer scholarship opportunities, and the transfer-ability of credit. Tour campus, meet your admission counselor and more.
Your visit can include any of the following: meeting with an admission counselor, walking campus tour, transfer transcript evaluation, class observation, faculty appointment and coach appointment.
Learn about the admission and financial aid processes in a group setting. Campus tours are also offered. Spanish sessions are available once a month (these visits are designed for prospective freshman during the academic year.)
The Shimer Great Books School is currently offering individualized campus visits and several opportunities to participate in the Montaigne Scholarship competition.
