Maria grew up in Colombia. She's got a bachelors degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, a Master degree in Applied Mathematics from University of Puerto Rico and a Master in Statistics from Florida International University. She is a First Generation Student.

She started tutoring students since she was in High School and during her undergraduate and graduate studies she was a teaching assistant and an instructor for several courses. She was an adjunct professor at Florida International University in the Math and Statistics Department. She has been working at North Central for more than a year.

She is passionate about teaching and her love for Math and Stats makes the perfect combination for what she does.

When she is not teaching, she is enjoying time with her husband and beautiful children.
