Profile Picture

She grew up in Bogotá, Colombia. She graduated from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where she earned degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science and was recognized as the outstanding major. She holds two master’s degrees: an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico and an M.S. in Mathematical Statistics from Florida International University.

She joined the faculty at North Central College in 2018, where she is deeply committed to teaching, mentoring, and service. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that all students are capable of learning and succeeding. She is attentive to the challenges students face today and approaches the classroom with flexibility and empathy, adapting her teaching to meet students’ needs while maintaining high academic standards. She has been especially involved in supporting students through the First Generation program at NCC.

In recognition of her dedication to students and the college community, she received the Service Award in 2020 and the Mentoring Award in 2025.
