Matthew Ranallo

Campus Safety


Matthew Ranallo is a Campus Safety Officer for the North Central College Department of Campus Safety, which is part of the Student Affairs Division. Officer Ranallo works Day Shift, which is during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Officer Ranallo has worked for Campus Safety since Mid-2014. As part of his responsibilities, Officer Ranallo is assigned to patrol NCC campus property and buildings to proactively address any safety concerns.  Additional Work Responsibilities include: Fire Extinguisher Check Inspector, Fire Panel Safety and Security Inspector, AED Checks Inspector. Officer Ranallo is also a part of the Bicycle Patrol Unit on Campus and was recently the recipient of the 2016 Officer of the Year Award. 

The Department of Campus Safety employs 1 director, 2 assistant directors, a parking and transportation coordinator, full-time, on call and student campus safety officers, as well as approximately 20 student employees who serve in various roles on campus.  The Department is responsible for patrolling the campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
