Jonathan Parsons

Professor Parsons began teaching at North Central College in 2018. Most of Professor Parsons’ research interests center around questions concerning what kinds of "stuff" and "things" exist in the world, and the types of conditions under which some "stuff" or "things" compose further "things." He also has interests in philosophy of religion--in particular Christian physicalism and non-classical approaches to theism--and philosophy of science. When he is doing philosophy, he is either hanging out with his three children, playing with the family cat, or getting tattoos with his wife.
