Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role:
Department Chair of Music since 2023.

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
Participants will get to improve their musical techniques and enjoy all the ensemble playing.  

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
I love playing in ensembles with my students.  
 

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Completed his 23rd year as head women's cross country coach and assistant women's track and field coach at North Central College in 2022-23.

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
This is a jump start to summer training! Learn basic concepts and get a general understanding of running.
 

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Men’s Soccer Head Coach since 2019.

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop?
We offer a variety of drills and fun activities to help develop new soccer skills and friendships. We also want to share our love for the world’s greatest game with our campers!
 
Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory: 
My favorite memory must be winning our first ever CCIW Conference tournament in 2021. We hosted both the semifinal and the final, and the fans came out to support us in mass, providing a thrilling atmosphere. Both games were nail-biters; they did not disappoint!

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Windows End User Support Specialist since August 2020

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
Campers will gain knowledge of a variety of games and have fun while they do it! Outside speakers with expertise on specific games will be invited to come speak about them. Campers will also get the opportunity to work with high-end machines with 3080 graphics cards in them.  

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
My best memory from my time as a student at NCC was going to Texas as a part of the Marching Band for our 2019 national championship football team!

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering since 2020

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
Campers will develop a set of engineering-focused habits and ways of thinking. Their identities as aspirant engineers will also begin to emerge. Not only that, but participants will gain hands-on and high-level experience before entering college. Most importantly, campers can expect to learn how to deliver a scientific speech and work with other engineers under the guidance of engineering ethics.  

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
I love to teach students, work with them, and offer them experience in tackling open-ended challenges throughout their engineering studies. During the past few years, I’ve provided mentorship to students to help them find and secure jobs. Sometimes, students and parents want to take pictures with me during their graduation ceremonies, and it’s always the best moment when I see the big smiles on their faces!

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Adjunct Faculty in Computer Science at NCC in 2016

What are you looking most in regard to your camp or workshop?
We work with girls to get them enthused about computer programming and help them learn the foundations.

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
Seeing girls get excited about creating fun computer programs is one of the highlights of teaching summer camps. It is amazing how much they learn when it is fun and there are no grades or homework assignments!

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Women’s Soccer Head Coach since 2016

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop?
Summer is a great time to enjoy soccer! With the nice weather, and the opportunity to practice outside together, it is the perfect chance for campers to have fun playing their sport, getting to know others, and improving their skillsets.

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory: 
I love our traditional Campers vs. Coaches game. The whole camp gets very competitive; it is always one of the most anticipated events of the summer.

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Women’s Wrestling Head Coach since 2019

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
We run intensive training sessions led by our returning national championship coaching staff. Campers have the unique opportunity to unleash their potential and refine their skills with the best in the business. This is your chance to elevate your wrestling game!

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
My favorite Program memory will always be winning our Team National Championship in 2023.  

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role:
Men’s Wrestling Head Coach since 2022

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
Campers learn from the best with our returning top-ranked coaching staff. Head Wrestling Coach Cook brings a wealth of expertise to guide wrestlers through intensive training sessions. Head Assistant Coach Joe Norton, with his strong track record, will elevate campers’ wrestling skills to new heights. Assistant Coach Grant Zamin’s insights and coaching expertise will provide participants with a competitive edge on the mat. This is a prime opportunity for young wrestlers to refine their technique, enhance their mental approach to the sport, and gain valuable insights from the top-ranked coaching staff at NCC. Don’t miss the chance to advance your wrestling game!

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
My most memorable moment so far was watching our 133 pound National Champion win his second National Championship in 2023. This helped us lock in our first team trophy in school history.  

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Men’s Basketball Head Coach since 2023

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop?
We focus on skill development, and we host games that foster both collaboration with others and a love for the sport. This is also the perfect opportunity for additional conditioning.  

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
I spent four years as a player here at NCC. During my time on the team, I started on a Final Four team, and we sold out Merner Fieldhouse for a playoff game for the first time in Program history.

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Men’s Baseball Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator Since 2023

What are you looking most in regard to your camp or workshop?
We work with youth pitchers to team them all aspects of pitching. Join us this summer to improve your pitching skills!

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
My favorite moment so far was when the team made the NCAA tournament in 2022.

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role:
WONC General Manager since 2018

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
Participants will gain more knowledge of and experience in on-air radio broadcasting and journalism. This is a great opportunity to widen your radio skillset

Describe your favorite North Central College or Program memory:
I have fond memories of working on-air at WONC as a student.

Describe your role at North Central College and how long you have been in role: Assistant Men’s Football Assistant Coach since 2023

What can participants look forward to in regard to your camp or workshop? 
Participants can look forward to a fun and competitive camp coached by our very own Cardinal football players! With the opportunity to meet and build relationships with other youth in the area, the camp will focus on developing players’ field skills and overall football IQ. Using the college’s facilities, the camper will get a full NCC experience!

Describe your favorite North Central College memory:
I’ll never forget our first national championship victory. The immediate joy and pride that every former and active Cardinal football member felt is something that will never be matched.
