North Central College welcomes Tom Miers, president of Naperville Bank and Trust, to its Board of Trustees.

“I have been a Naperville resident for more than 45 years and have known (several) presidents of the College, all of whom made an impression on me as they took the College in wonderful and different directions,” said Miers. “North Central College is a highly respected institution and positioned for a brilliant future. It is so much a part of Naperville, offering a tremendous and unique dimension to the community.”

Miers said the College also had a personal impact on his family, with his son having earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Central. “I am honored to be part of the College as a trustee and excited about whatever opportunities I can bring.”

Miers has been president of Naperville Bank and Trust since 2010. Prior to this role, he was an officer at MidAmerica Bank from 1979 to 2008. Miers is a board member of the Naperville Development Partnership and served as a board member of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and YMCA of the Rockies. He is also active with the Sunrise Rotary Club in Naperville and has served on many local community boards over the years. Miers earned a bachelor of science degree at George Williams College formerly in Downers Grove, Ill.

“Tom’s support of the College, particularly in the areas of business and entrepreneurship, are deeply valued by staff, faculty and students,” said Dr. Troy D. Hammond, president of North Central College. “Tom is a longtime friend of the College, and we are privileged to welcome him to the College’s Board of Trustees.”
