While studying business, with a major in entrepreneurship, Paige Kozial ‘24 has made the most of her college experience by getting involved in numerous ways. She shows her dedication to the campus community through her involvement in many student organizations, including serving as president of the Student Governing Association (SGA).

What made you want to attend NC?
It was the whole the town of Naperville. I had been coming to Naperville for so many years before I even knew the college was here. It didn't really feel like I was going like away to college because Naperville was still a very cozy and homey place for me.

What do you appreciate about your academic experience here?
I appreciate that I get to touch so many different fields. On top of being a business major, I chose to explore the issue of “examining health” for my iCon requirement, which means you take classes in different subjects to gain interdisciplinary perspective about issues relevant to our world today. It gave me a greater appreciation for other fields. I'm not just getting experience in business; I'm also getting so much more.

What are you involved with on campus?
As a first-generation college student, I have a been a member of Cardinal First for four years. I have been a student ambassador and now I’m the campus visit intern, which means I lead and organize campus tours for prospective students. I wanted to continue to grow and learn, so I became a resident assistant (RA) and later joined the Student Government Association (SGA). I’m now the president of SGA, which has included being part of the historic inauguration of President Anita Thomas and more.

What are your three favorite things on campus?

The people; bacon, egg and cheese bagels; and the student lounge in the business building.

What would you tell a prospective student who’s considering coming to NC?

It's your home away from home because of the way that the people interact here. Everyone knows everyone, or you can find someone that knows someone. It's such an intermixed, connected web of people. Everyone is just so great to be around.
