Coffee Lab

The Coffee Lab @ North Central College is a direct trade, bean-to-cup business, as well as a hands-on learning and research lab where students apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. Developed through Enactus—a global organization with student teams worldwide—the Lab brings together students from a wide range of majors.

This spring, students will represent North Central College at the Enactus USA National Exposition, competing against top teams from across the country. They’ll present two Impact Stage projects—Cacao Crunch and BoHo Conversion—and, for the first time, their Carbon Sequestration Project in the Early Stage Competition, building on research that began with a 2023 trip to Guatemala.
