Daniel Guerin, Judge

Honorable Daniel P. Guerin is a circuit court judge in the 18th Judicial Circuit, DuPage County.  In 2003, he was appointed an Associate Judge and presided in the misdemeanor/traffic division and later served as presiding judge of that division. In 2010, he was elected a Circuit Judge and presides in the felony division.  He also served as presiding judge in that division.  In 2017, he was elected by his peers to serve a three-year term as Chief Judge.  Prior to becoming a judge, he was a prosecutor with the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office from 1990-2003.  For nearly a decade, he served as the Supervisor, Domestic Violence/Child Abuse Unit. Outside the courtroom, Judge Guerin was an adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola University College of Law teaching advanced trial advocacy for sixteen years. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and DePaul University College of Law.
