James Womack is a Campus Safety Officer for the North Central College Department of Campus Safety, which is part of the Student Affairs Division. Officer Womack works on the dayshift, which is during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Officer Womack has worked for Campus Safety since June 2005.  As part of his responsibilities, Officer Womack is assigned to patrol NCC campus property and buildings to proactively address any safety concerns.  Additional responsibilities include: CPR/AED Training Instructor, Segway Training Instructor, and Oleoresin Capsicum Instructor.  Officer Womack is a certified Severe Weather Spotter and is also responsible for properly maintaining and testing the Outdoor Emergency Alert System.

Officer Womack has (17) years of experience providing protective services in higher education.  Prior to joining North Central College, Officer Womack was employed by the University of St. Francis in Joliet where he served as a Security Officer and First Responder.

Officer Womack is also the recipient of the 2007 Campus Safety Officer of the Year and 2009 Campus Safety Officer of the Year Awards.

The Department of Campus Safety employs 1 director, 2 assistant directors, a parking and transportation coordinator, full-time, on call and student campus safety officers, as well as approximately 20 student employees who serve in various roles on campus.  The Department is responsible for patrolling the campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
