Nicholas Osterloo '19/M'21 was named the Director of Athletics Communication in April of 2025. He served as the Assistant Sports Information Director from September 2021 to April 2025. He began as a student assistant in the Sports Information Department at North Central College in 2016. After graduating from North Central in 2019 with bachelor's degrees in sport management and marketing, Osterloo returned to work in the Sports Information Department as a graduate assistant.
In August 2024, Osterloo earned the College's Distinguished Performance Award for an administrative staff member. Later that year, he was honored as part of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 Under 30 Class of 2024, which recognizes emerging athletics communication professionals at all levels of college sports in strategic, creative, and digital spaces.
In August 2022, Osterloo began serving with the CSC (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)) Academic All-America program for men's soccer, women's soccer, men's track and field, women's basketball, and the men's at-large division as a National Review Team Member. He is a member of the CSC Young Professionals Committee and participated in the CSC Mentorship Program. Osterloo also serves on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division III Hitter, Pitcher, and Rookie of the Week Committee.
While a graduate assistant, Osterloo was the primary contact for seven Cardinal programs throughout his two-year assistantship. He also served as the Sports Information Director at Wheaton Academy High School during that time. Additionally, he has volunteered with organizations such as the Big Ten, Nike, and WiscoRadio.
Osterloo graduated in May 2021 with a Master of Business Administration degree from North Central. A native of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, Nicholas and his wife, Sarah, reside in Wheaton.
