North Central College & McHenry County College

Our Guaranteed Admission Agreement with McHenry County College allows students the opportunity to be simultaneously admitted to both North Central College and McHenry County College.

This course substitution guide was designed to help you select courses at McHenry County College if you are planning to transfer to North Central College. Working with your MCC advisor, refer to this guide to determine courses that meet North Central College requirements in our Core Curriculum, academic major and minor requirements, and electives.

Guaranteed Admission Agreement

The goal of the Guaranteed Admission Agreement is to create a seamless and successful transition for transfer students intending to complete their Bachelor’s degree at North Central College. As an added benefit, your Transfer Admission Counselor can meet with you early to plan course suggestions while you’re still at your community college.

To qualify, transferring students must:

  • Complete an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree prior to enrolling at North Central College.
  • Transfer with a minimum cumulative transferable grade point average of a 2.5 and be in good standing at McHenry County College at the time of transfer.
  • Complete the participation form.
