This course substitution guide is designed to help you select courses at Oakton College if you plan to transfer to North Central College. Working with your Oakton College advisor and NCC transfer admission counselor, refer to this guide to determine courses that meet North Central College requirements in our general education curriculum, academic major and minor requirements, and electives.
The goal of the Guaranteed Admission Agreement is to create a seamless and successful transition for transfer students intending to complete their Bachelor’s degree at North Central College. As an added benefit, your Transfer Admission Counselor can meet with you early to plan course suggestions while you’re still at your community college.
To qualify, transferring students must:
Complete an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree prior to enrolling at North Central College.
Transfer with a minimum cumulative transferable grade point average of a 2.5 and be in good standing at Oakton College at the time of transfer.
Send your unofficial or official transcripts from all institutions attended.
Complete the FAFSA and add North Central’s school code of 001734.
If admitted, submit your deposit to reserve your spot in the class and move forward with the next steps to course registration and orientation!
Throughout your time at community college, continue to meet with your community college advisor to ensure you are on track with your degree progress and follow academic procedures.
