Why Enroll in Summer School at North Central?

The summer semester gives you the opportunity to stay on track or get ahead in your degree program. For those wishing to graduate early, summer courses let you cross off required classes early.

  • Smaller Classes, Quiet Campus - Benefit from small class sizes and attention from expert faculty.  You'll enjoy access to parking spots, dining, the library, and other services on campus while experiencing a more intimate classroom environment.
  • Continued and Concentrated Learning Stay in the groove of studying and attending class with summer course work. Complete prerequisite classes during the summer that allows you to register for more advanced classes during the next academic year. 

Summer School Details

Summer Schedule

Enroll in 3, 5 or 10 week sessions.  The semester begins May 4 and ends July 31.

Summer Courses

Online, blended and in-person courses available.

Cost of Attendance

North Central students: $541 per credit hour; Visiting students: $808 per credit hour.

How to Apply

Visiting Students

If you are a non-North Central College student, please complete and submit your summer school application by May 20, 2020.

  1. Complete the Application for Non-Degree-Seeking Admission (PDF) and email it to grad@noctrl.edu
  2. Submit official transcripts from your current undergraduate institution to: School of Graduate and Professional Studies, 30 N. Brainard St., Naperville, IL 60540.
  3. Accepted summer school students are required to pay a $100 tuition deposit to confirm your intent to enroll. This deposit will be credited toward your summer tuition statement.

Current North Central Students

  • If you are a North Central College undergraduate student, you should first contact your academic advisor to discuss your degree requirements.
  • You can then register for your summer courses through Merlin.
