Profile Picture

Susan Kempinger is an assistant professor of physics at North Central College. She grew up in the midwest and earned her BS in physics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she studied ferroelectric polymers. She then went to Pennsylvania for graduate school and obtained a Ph.D. in experimental condensed matter physics at Pennsylvania State University. During her time at Penn State, she worked with a number of different nanoscale magnetic systems to investigate both fundamental properties and interesting applications.
