Mark A. Hoggarth, PT, DPT, PhD competed his BS and MS in Applied Physics at DePaul University, his DPT at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. His primary teaching interests include imaging, neuroscience, and physiology. His research interests center around understanding the effects of intermittent hypoxia on human physiology, developing imaging metrics, and teaching methods for imaging in physical therapy. He maintains close collaborations with an international cohort of imaging researchers studying the effects of aging, injury, or intervention on the neuromuscular system. He also enjoys the challenge of scientific communication and has won several awards for presentations at international physical therapy conferences.

Mark has lived in and around the Chicago-land area for 20 years, and he enjoys cooking, playing guitar, travel, and spending tons of time with his children and partner. He loves going to live music and discovering new bands.
