Kimberly MacGregor

Kim MacGregor leads planning and creation of strategic, high-quality communications to support the College’s mission, vision, values and goals. That includes being editor of North Central College magazine and speechwriting for College leadership.

Prior to starting at North Central in October 2022, Kim spent more than two decades as an independent writer and adviser to brands and their agency partners. Clients tapped her expertise in developing and executing thought leadership, executive communication, content marketing, and nonprofit advancement/fundraising communication. She has written for leading mission-driven organizations in higher education, healthcare and human services including Cleveland Clinic, Washington National Cathedral, JDRF, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Intermountain Health, and Baylor College of Medicine. She also has experience as marketing communications leader for small and mid-size manufacturers, trade show/trade media companies, and design-architecture-engineering firms.

Kim began her career as a newspaper reporter after earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marquette University. She and her husband, Don, live in Elmhurst and have three grown children.
