Pin #4 Submit Your Documentation

If you are planning to study on an F1 student visa, we will need a copy of your passport, a bank statement and a completed Affidavit of Support (our office can provide this). 

F-1 Student Visa:  

The F-1 student visa is designed for international students who plan to enroll in a degree program at a U.S. university as a full-time student. To apply for this visa, you will need a Form I-20, which is issued by the university at which you plan to enroll.

The process of applying for a student visa can take up to three months. If you need an F-1 student visa to study at North Central, please submit the following as soon as possible to ensure that an I-20 Form (Visa Eligibility Document) can be issued:

  • A color copy of your passport identification page.
  • Documentation of sufficient financial resources.
    • Before North Central can issue your Form I-20, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funding available for your course of study.
    • The estimated cost of attendance for the 2023-2024 academic year at North Central is $61,651.
    • The amount of funding you must show will depend on the scholarship award amount you receive.
      • Example: an international student awarded a $30,000 scholarship will need to provide documentation of $31,651.

Financial forms to complete:

  • 2023-2024 Affidavit of Financial Support Form
  • Bank letter (original or color scan)
    • A bank statement for each sponsor that includes an original signature on bank letterhead with the bank's contact information.
      • For August entry - It must be dated no earlier than January 15, 2023.
      • For January Entry - It must be dates no earlier than April 15, 2023.
      • Include the name of the account holder and the amount in the account.
      • Specify the type of account (e.g., savings, checking, time deposit, etc.) and the currency of the account.
        • Please be sure that the account is in the sponsor's name and the amount in the account is at least equal to the amount the sponsor has pledged to the student.
        • Please also ensure that the bank account owner is the sponsor who completes and signs the Declaration of Finances form.
      • North Central accepts original letters or color scans of original letters.

Pin #5 Submit Your Deposit

Make it official and reserve your spot with a $100 tuition deposit.

  • If you plan to live on campus, complete and submit your online housing application with a $100 room deposit to reserve your space in the residence halls. You will need your North Central login credentials to complete the questionnaire; please refer to your acceptance packet for those details. Housing deposits must be submitted with a tuition deposit.
     
  • All deposits are non-refundable. You can submit your deposit online, with a check or by contacting the Office of Admission to submit via credit card.

In order to achieve your highest level of academic achievement, North Central provides academic advising support to all students!

  • You will be contacted by your Student Success Coach (your Academic Advisor) in late June or early July and course registration will begin shortly after.
     
  • Your Student Success Coach will help you develop an academic and co-curricular plan that prepares you to achieve your educational goals and complete College graduation requirements.

Pin #7 Attend New Student Orientation & Welcome Week

This is your opportunity to get acclimated, make friends and most importantly, have fun—you’re officially a Cardinal! Prior to Welcome Week, you will need to:

  • Submit Final Transcripts: Make arrangements to have your final high school and any college/university transcripts sent to North Central College.
     
  • Complete Health and Safety Requirements: Before the first day of classes, you will need to complete a few online training modules. North Central is committed to maintaining a safe and positive learning, working, social and residential environment.
     
  • Secure Books & Supplies: Determine which books and supplies you'll need for each class by regularly checking Merlin as your start term approaches. Books are available for purchase or rent at the Campus Store.
