Ensembles-In-Residence

DuPage Symphony Orchestra

Barbara Schuman, Conductor

The DuPage Symphony Orchestra has been honored by the Illinois Council of Orchestras as the 2013 Community Orchestra of the Year. Under the skilled direction of Maestra Barbara Schubert, The DSO averages 100 performers per symphony concert. The organization is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit and boasts an incredibly talented all-volunteer musician base. Members travel from around the region for the quality of music and level of performance offered by the orchestra. This will be our fifth season performing in Wentz Concert Hall on the campus of North Central College, and we are proud to be one of the only performance groups in residence at Wentz Concert Hall to consistently be near or at capacity for our performances.
