Microsoft 365 - Office Apps

 

Microsoft 365 Office Apps are available to all currently enrolled NCC students, as well as all faculty and staff. 

Microsoft 365 includes the following features:
  • Outlook Email
  • Microsoft 365 Office desktop apps on up to 5 devices - Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote
  • Microsoft 365 Online apps 
  • OneDrive Cloud Storage
  • Microsoft Teams

How do I access my NCC email?

From a computer:

  1. From any web browser, navigate to https://outlook.office.com
  2. Sign-in with your @noctrl.edu email address and current password
  3. Complete the MFA request*
    * If this is your first login to email, you will be prompted to role in Multi-Factor Authentication


Mobile App:

  1. Install Microsoft Outlook from your device's app store.
  2. Open Outlook and select Get Started.
  3. Enter your full @noctrl.edu email address.
  4. Sign in with your NCC password.
  5. Complete your MFA verification.
  6. Your email, calendar, and contacts will automatically sync.

How do I get M365 Office Apps for my computer?

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://www.microsoft365.com/apps
  2. Sign in to Microsoft using your @noctrl.edu email address and current password
  3. In the upper-right corner, select Install apps, and then select Microsoft 365 apps
  4. From the My account page, under Office apps & devices, select Install Office.
  5. The OfficeSetup.exe file will download to your Downloads folder. After the download finishes, double-click on the OfficeSetup.exe file to start the installation.
  6. When prompted with Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?, select Yes to start the installation.
  7. The installation continues and might take several minutes to complete. When it completes, the You're all set! window displays. Select Close.
  8. After installation is complete, you can launch the apps from the Start menu.

*** Note: If at any time you are prompted to allow this organization to manage this device, select NO.

When does my M365 subscription expire?

Students: Your M365 subscriptions expire when you are no longer enrolled as a student. Students are responsible for backing up their data before their accounts are deactivated.

Faculty/Staff: Your M365 subscriptions expire immediately upon separation from the College. Employees are responsible for backing up any personal data before their separation.
