North Central associate music professor featured in Chicago Tribune

Sean Kelley highlights the new wind ensemble he launched for the College

As one of the music colleges in the Chicago area, North Central aims to continue implementing programs and opportunities to help students excel at their craft. This fall, North Central will launch a new wind ensemble, the Naperville Winds. This group serves at the helm of the College’s associate professor of music and assistant director of bands Sean Kelley and will bring 85 professional musicians from around the Chicago together for a musical experience.

“This is something I have always wanted to do,” said Kelley, an assistant professor of music and assistant director of bands at North Central College in Naperville. “Our mission at North Central is to offer students professional level experience with a repertoire they need to know and how to teach it.”
