At North Central College, living on campus gives you instant access to countless experiential learning opportunities outside of the classroom. There are over 1,400 resident students living on campus in one of our 9 residence halls. There are community style rooms, as well as suites and apartments that residents can choose from based on their needs and preferences. Residence Life staff members offer additional support to residents to encourage academic success and personal well-being. Through intentional programming, residents are able to build lasting friendships, learn about campus resources, and connect with the campus community. 

The Office of Residence Life offers Themed Housing and Living Learning Communities (LLCs) that are specialized living environments that are centered on a distinctive theme or academic interest area. Resident students can apply to be a part of one of these communities, and we hope to continue to add new LLCs in the future:

• Honors Program LLC
• Engineering & Physics LLC
• International LLC

Gender-inclusive housing refers to an arrangement in which students are permitted to share a room or suite regardless of sex, gender, or gender identity. It is available to help better meet the needs of the College's LGBTQIA students and to offer safe and appropriate housing to non-binary and transgender students. Students may also choose gender-inclusive housing if their preferred roommate's gender does not match their own. Gender-inclusive housing is available to all interested students, but no student will be assigned to gender-inclusive housing without their permission. Due to the College's growing graduate student population, Graduate Student housing is available and these students would have the opportunity to live in any of the upper-class residence halls.
