And while research on generational challenges in the higher education workplace is limited, there is more information available on the impact on the workplace in general.

While no one can deny 2020 has been a memorable year for many reasons, North Central College experts have gone above and beyond to make this a landmark year by sharing their knowledge and expertise with the masses as never before.

Excitement and apprehension. Parents and their college-bound child experience these conflicting feelings. On the one hand, there’s a sense of freedom and accomplishment. On the other hand, there’s a fear of failing and loss.    “The good thing is,” says Kevin McCarthy, “these feelings are normal and the transition is temporary.”

A collaboration among North Central College, Valparaiso University, the University of Evansville (UE), and Drake University has received a total of $10 million in grant funding from Lilly Endowment Inc. through the competitive Phase 3 of its initiative, Charting the Future of Indiana’s Colleges and Universities. The grant will support the establishment of a shared, cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with a single set of standardized business practices.

While studying business, with a major in entrepreneurship, Paige Kozial ‘24 has made the most of her college experience by getting involved in many student organizations, including serving as president of the Student Governing Association (SGA).

North Central College has distinguished itself as a national leader in supporting first-generation students. The College won top awards at the 2018 Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) conference held in Philadelphia.
