Dr. Anita Thomas was installed as president of North Central College at an investiture ceremony in the College’s Wentz Concert Hall on November 11, 2023. Thomas is just the 11th president in the 162-year history of the College and the first woman and first person of color to serve as president.

North Central College has been named among America’s Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report for the 29th consecutive year. The College ranked No. 24 out of 164 schools in the overall Best Regional Universities Midwest category.

Anita Thomas, Ph.D., has been selected as the 11th president of North Central College. She will assume her official role at the College on July 1, 2023.
