Attend an Upcoming Transfer Visit Program

All prospective and applied students are invited and encouraged to attend one of our upcoming Transfer Information Sessions. Our next session will be held on Friday, August 16th from 9:30am to approximately 12:00pm. Students who attend our information sessions are able to learn a lot about North Central in a condensed setting. Students will hear presentations on student life, academic opportunities, admission, and financial aid, as well as have the opportunity to take a walking tour of campus. A limited number of individual, unofficial transcript evaluations will also be available on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested, please indicate on your registration form or notify us at check-in. Check here to register.

Schedule an Appointment for an Unofficial Transcript Evaluation

Contact me directly (or through the Office of Admissions; 630-637-5800, admissions@noctrl.edu) to schedule an unofficial evaluation of your transcripts. Bring copies of transcripts from all colleges and universities you've attended and I'll give you a sense of how your credit transfer in to our general education, major/minor, and elective coursework requirements. We have availability weekdays (from 8:00am to 4:30pm) as well as some weeknights (from 4:30pm to 7:30pm) and Saturday mornings (from 8:00am to 12:00pm). If you can visit during the day, we also highly encourage scheduling a campus tour and a faculty meeting to discuss your intended major and internship/job opportunities related to it. You can also meet with an athletic coach if you hope to participate in a sport as well.

Note: Our next traditional start term possibility (Fall 2019) begins Monday, August 19th. For full admission, financial aid, and registration consideration, students are encouraged to apply no later than Friday, August 2nd for fall term file completion. If you cannot complete your file by this date, please call the Office of Admissions at (630) 637-5800 to discuss your situation. We are also currently admitting students for Spring 2020, which will begin on Monday, January 6th, 2020.

Learn About Your Admission Counselor

About Me: I am a graduate of North Central College (2018) with a Bachelor of Arts in organizational communication and jazz studies. I love spending time with my friends and family and watching movies and TV series. Some of my all-time favorites include Game of Thrones, the Office, Parks and Rec, and Stranger Things. I am currently watching season 2 of Big Little Lies and season 3 of The Handmaid's Tale.

Favorite thing about North Central: The community. The reason I love being a Cardinal at North Central College is due to the meaningful relationships I have formed with our students, staff, and faculty. At North Central, everyone knows who you are and genuinely cares about your personal growth, progress, and goals. They provide you with seemingly infinite possibilities to explore topics and issues that interest you. North Central shapes students into more well-rounded, conscious, and curious individuals, which benefits them beyond their professional and academic goals. That experience would not be possible without such a strong network of passionate and caring individuals.

Words I would use to describe North Central students: Passionate, involved, conscientious, hardworking, high-achieving, and informed.

Why I chose to become an admission counselor at North Central: I chose to become an admission counselor at North Central because the insitution and its mission to students resonates with me. I believe North Central offers students a unique educational experience that fosters meaningful skills, characteristics, and memories they will cherish for a lifetime, both professionally and personally. I want to help students interested in obtaining those experiences get them.

Favorite Naperville restaurant: There are WAY too many to choose from, but (right now) these are my top 5: Los Burritos Tapatios, Eggs Inc., Le Pain Quotidien, SixtyFour, and Ted's Montana Grill. Do yourself a favor and try them all.

Favorite season in Naperville: Autumn. And when you visit campus in the fall, you'll immediately understand why. All the trees change color and it's absolutely stunning. I highly recommend taking a stroll along the riverwalk during this time.

Advice to students: Schedule an office visit, come see our campus, and ask questions. There is so much to learn about North Central and transferring in general that it can be a little overwhelming at times.  We realize that and we are here to help. By coming to campus and meeting with us, you will not only gain a better sense of all that North Central has to offer, but you'll begin to see how these opportunities relate to you specifically. You'll understand how our mission and programs align with your personal goals and what the North Central College experience will be like for you
