You may be extremely familiar with the college environment or this might be your first experience, but the Office of Orientation is here to help! The one-day orientation sessions are created to address your needs and lead you to success.
Fall Orientation Dates
Because we recognize that our incoming transfer students are at different points in their academic careers, we offer four one-day Orientation options that require you to be here from 9-4pm. For those deposits received by May 1, you will have the priority to Orientation sessions and be able to sign up for open dates.

Orientation for transfer students is a mandatory one-day program that is comprised of sessions to introduce you to what life is like at North Central. During Orientation, you will learn about the many programs and services that are available to you as a student, meet with an academic advisor, and register for your courses.
Orientation Leaders, who are upperclass students, will share their Cardinal Experience with you, answer your questions, and do their best to ensure your smooth transition into the Cardinal community!

From grants and scholarships (aid you don’t pay back) to educational loans (aid you do pay back), North Central provides a variety of options to help make your education as affordable as possible.
Campus Safety officers provide a highly visible and responsive security presence, with frequent patrols of and through the campus. Campus Safety will provide assistance during emergency and non-emergency situations, as well as escorts around campus, vehicle jump starts, room lockout, building access and other requests. To reach the on-duty campus safety officer 24 hours a day/7 days a week, please call (630) 637-5911 or x5911 from any campus phone.
In order for students and guests to utilize the on-campus parking lots of North Central College, they must first obtain a valid academic year parking permit or visitor permit from the Department of Campus Safety. Without a valid parking permit, a citation may be issued for failure to display a permit.
At North Central, we believe that learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom. Living on campus gives you instant access to countless experiential learning opportunities.
Commuter Student Services exists to help commuter students successfully acclimate to life at North Central. Throughout the academic year, you can expect a variety of programs and activities designed specifically to help you get to know the campus, make friends, and succeed academically.
