Deposits, Deadlines & Policies

**Please Note** Effective for students applying January 31, 2018 for study abroad direct enrollment and group programs in 2018-2019, the study abroad program fee is now $4,000. There is a non-refundable $30 application fee for all programs (direct enrollment, exchange, and group programs) due at the time of applying. We appreciate your understanding as we update our website content accordingly.

 

January 31, 2018:  All study abroad applications due (unless otherwise noted), together with a $30 non-refundable application fee.

February 1-February 16, 2018:  $50 late fee for all applications received during this period, together with a $30 non-refundable application fee.

No applications accepted after February 16, 2018.

April 2, 2018:  $500 deposit due in the Center for Global Education (regardless of any pending financial aid or scholarship decisions); $250 will be refunded until May 1, 2018.

May 1, 2018:  The $500 deposit is forfeited after this date for any participant who withdraws for any reason other than medical. If withdrawal is for medical reasons and accompanied by a clinician's note, then the $500 deposit will be refunded.

June 30, 2018:  Participants withdrawing after this date, for any reason, will not only forfeit the $500 deposit but will also be responsible for any cancellation fees incurred by the College.

GPA Policy: If your cumulative GPA falls below 2.5 in the term(s) prior to studying abroad, but after your acceptance, or you are on academic probation prior to studying abroad, North Central College and/or our partner/host institution abroad has the right to withdraw you from the program at your expense. You will be responsible for any cancellation fees incurred by the College as a result of this cancellation.
