Presidential Search Update - 1/13/23

Dear Campus Community,

Welcome to the spring semester! On behalf of the Presidential Search Committee, I am pleased to report that the search for the College’s 11th President remains on schedule. Our search continues to be guided by the Presidential Search Prospectus, which includes your feedback in the campus forums and stakeholder survey conducted last fall.

In the final days of the fall semester, the search committee conducted preliminary interviews with a select group of candidates and advanced a small group of semifinalists for additional interviews and vetting. Earlier this week, the search committee met with the small group of candidates and chose 3 finalists who will advance for a final confidential interview and vetting process.

We have reached the point in the process where the work of the students, faculty, and staff serving on the search committee has concluded. However, in this final process, the Academic Advisory Council, small groups of students and staff, the Cabinet, and the Board of Trustees will have the opportunity to meet with each candidate. All participants in this final interview process will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement and will be asked to share feedback with the Board.

Once the final interview and vetting process is complete, the Board of Trustees will select the College’s next president, which we hope will occur by the February 23-24 Board meeting.

I want to express my appreciation to the search committee members for their excellent work. They each represented their constituents and colleagues with professionalism, care, and devotion. I am proud of the entire committee. I also want to thank all of you for your continued support.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions at presidentialsearch@noctrl.edu.

I wish you well this semester!
