Mateo Gonzalez ’18 came to North Central College from Bogotá, Colombia, with excellent speaking skills but his first English writing exam didn’t go so well.

Tyler Drozd ’17 and Rachel Birkley ’18 have earned Fulbright Scholarships that will allow them to become English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) in Europe beginning in September. At North Central College, both majored in languages, studied abroad and traveled extensively.

North Central’s expanding options for living-learning communities are giving students new alternatives to the traditional residence hall experience.

When North Central College hosts its annual International Festival Feb. 26, people from Chicagoland and around the world will come together to celebrate and experience cultural diversity.
