Undergraduate Research

At North Central College, students have the opportunity to participate in our Summer Undergraduate Research Program.  Students in this program work with a faculty member conducting research for eight weeks during the summer. Students receive a stipend for their work and campus housing is available for a small fee.

In this program, students not only gain valuable research skills, but they also have the opportunity to develop communication and presentation skills through informal weekly presentations on campus.  Computer science students who have participated in this program have presented their work at various regional and national conferences, at our own Rall Symposium and some students have had their worked published in undergraduate research journals.

Students interested in this opportunity should contact the computer science department for more information.
