What You'll Learn

Develop the English skills you need for university study, professional success, and everyday communication. Full-time students take:

  • Writing & Grammar
  • Listening & Speaking
  • Reading & Vocabulary
  • Academic and Cultural Topics

Each class meets 5 hours per week. Classes are held Monday–Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The Intensive English Program is a two-semester program with semesters beginning in August and January. 

  • Semester 1: students who begin at a high-beginning or low-intermediate level.
  • Semester 2: students who begin at an intermediate or high-intermediate level.

Each level and semester is made of two 8-week sessions. Mid-semester entry is not available for students who intend to study at North Central in the future. Part-time and mid-semester entry students do not complete levels at the same pace as full-time students who begin in August or January.
