Prior to returning to school for her PhD at Virginia Tech, Suzanne worked in public and corporate accounting. During her tenure at Ernst & Young in Chicago as a staff auditor, she worked on both publicly and privately held clients all over the country. After leaving Ernst & Young, Suzanne worked at Conseco in Indiana as a staff accountant before being promoted to a financial analyst. After completing her PhD, Suzanne taught at Ball State University (2008-2012) and Saint Leo University (2012-2017).
Suzanne’s teaching interest include: auditing, fraud, financial, and managerial accounting. She has taught both at the graduate and undergraduate level. Her research interests have been focused on behavioral decisions made in both audit and managerial accounting. Her publications have focused on the impacts to promotion in both public accounting and academics. Publications have included The CPA Journal, Journal of Accounting and Finance, and CPAFocus.
