Fredlyn Pierre Louis ‘23 made his debut on national television, presenting a two-part story for NBC Early Today on June 14 about the struggles of American families who have adopted children from Haiti to get the children to their new homes in the United States.

Jocelyn Trotter ‘27 followed up a successful first year as a student and athlete with a summer marketing internship at global software developer Contruent in Naperville.

Dr. Kristin Geraty has been appointed North Central College’s provost and vice president for academic affairs. The appointment is historic, as Geraty is the first woman to serve as the College’s chief academic officer.

A North Central College faculty member and three students were instrumental in a year-long effort to develop a potentially life-saving training program for the City of Naperville. The program is designed to teach local youth how they can intervene when someone they know is showing signs of suicide.

North Central College has received a $25,000 grant from the Teagle Foundation for the Civic Humanities Project, which will help underserved students learn about the humanities and prepare for college.
