A virtual approach to celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will give the North Central College community an opportunity to engage in relevant discussion topics.

First student cohort will start January 2022 North Central College’s recently launched Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) program has received its Initial Accreditation-Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA), the accrediting body for physician assistant education.

What makes a “great book” has been the most contentious issue for the Shimer Great Books School since its distinction as a “great books school” in the 1950s. Is it a classic? A primary material? And who decides what those are, anyway?

As the house lights dim, a deafening silence sweeps over the stage. The absence of sound allows stirring, dynamic character work to come to the forefront. This is the environment in which North Central College students will deliver an emotional performance of “The Laramie Project” October 4-7 in Meiley-Swallow Hall, 31 S. Ellsworth St.

Abbi Nelson ’27 has a busy schedule as a college student and an elite synchronized skater — competing with a team of skaters who perform challenging formations and step sequences together. While double majoring in English and secondary education, it has been key for her to have the support of North Central faculty members.

North Central College student Kyra Rush-Ward ’19 has earned a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English at an elementary school in Logroño, Spain.
