North Central College Earns AACSB International Accreditation
Apr 29, 2026
AACSB International (AACSB) announced today that North Central College has earned business accreditation. AACSB accreditation is considered the gold standard of business education, and accredited institutions represent the largest business education network connecting learners, educators, and businesses worldwide.
“AACSB accreditation recognizes institutions that have demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB. “We congratulate North Central College and Dr. David Green, dean of the School of Business & Entrepreneurship, on earning accreditation and applaud the entire team, including the administration, faculty, staff, and students, for their roles in earning this respected honor.”
North Central College now counts itself among fewer than 6 percent of the world's schools offering AACSB-accredited business degree programs.
“It’s an honor for North Central College to be recognized among an elite group of AACSB-accredited institutions,” said President Abiódún Gòkè-Paríolá. “This achievement is a testament to the talented and hard-working faculty within our School of Business & Entrepreneurship, and the incredible work they invest in preparing students to become principled and ethical leaders, business professionals, and entrepreneurs in our dynamic global society.”
A distinct marker of academic quality, AACSB accreditation provides focus for schools to drive continuous improvement, impact, and to deliver on their mission. AACSB-accredited schools have successfully undergone a rigorous review process conducted by their peers in the business education community, ensuring that they have the resources, credentials, and commitment needed to provide students with a first-rate, future-focused business education.
North Central was commended by its AACSB accreditors for its assurance of student learning, and both the Coffee Lab and Center for Financial Literacy were highlighted as areas of excellence and demonstrated societal impact.
“Achieving AACSB accreditation affirms the academic rigor and intentionality that define business education at North Central College,” said Provost Kristin Geraty. “This milestone reflects the strength of our faculty’s teaching and scholarship, the relevance and coherence of our curriculum, and our shared commitment to continuous improvement. Most importantly, it underscores the high-quality learning experiences we provide to our students as they prepare to lead, innovate, and make ethical contributions in an increasingly complex global economy.”
Established in 1916, AACSB represents 2,000 institutional members and 1,000 accredited members in over 100 countries and territories. For more information about AACSB, visit aacsb.edu.
