Usually when someone makes a list of communication skills needed in the workplace, they include good listening, understanding non-verbal communication, friendliness, empathy and open-mindedness. These are important communication skills which should not be overlooked.
Engineering used to be all about getting the answer. While the questions tended to be simple, the answers were hard to come by because we lacked either the fundamental knowledge and/or the methods to get them.
Over the past three years, I have seen great things develop here at North Central College. From the moment I stepped foot on campus as a freshman I witnessed the construction of the Dr. Myron Wentz Science Center.
By definition, a stakeholder is a person or group that has interest or concern in an organization. They affect or may be affected by that organization’s behavior and actions. Our Engineering Advisory Board is comprised of key leaders from some of the largest corporations in the Midwest.
