North Central College’s 2017 Homecoming weekend, Oct. 20-22, will be a historic celebration. North Central’s Dr. Myron Wentz Science Center will be dedicated at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20. The center’s generous benefactor Dr. Myron Wentz, a renowned scientist, 1963 alumnus and honorary trustee of the College, will attend and offer remarks at the dedication.  

In honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, the North Central College Office of Multicultural Affairs hosted the annual MLK Vision Day and Teach-In on January 15 in the Wentz Science Center

William Muck weighed in on breaking news regarding ISIS leader being killed by U.S. Special Forces in Syria raid The leader of the violent Islamic State group was killed during an overnight raid on February 3 in Syria’s northwestern Idlib province. The raid targeted Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi, who took over as head of the militant group on Oct. 31, 2019, just days after leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi died during a U.S. raid in the same area.

Dr. Suzanne Chod authored article on First Lady Jill Biden’s doctorate degree Dr. Suzanne Chod, associate professor of political science at North Central College, penned an op-ed in the History News Network.

North Central College plans to construct a parking pavilion on the south end of campus on the site of the existing surface parking lot—Lot K—located directly north of Merner Field House.

Macy Fleury ’26, an exercise science major and track athlete from Naperville, spent a week in Florida with a group from BREAKAWAY, a North Central student organization that hosts service trips all over the United States and abroad.
